September's Birding by Ear Meet-up (FULL)

  • Lake Farm County Park Madison, WI, 53715 United States (map)

This field trip is now full. Please scroll down to sign up for the waiting list.

Train yourself to listen for the birds rather than looking for them! Birding by Ear is a great way to practice your skills at bird ID using a totally different sense. Join leader Kerry Wilcox (volunteer and teacher of last spring’s Birding by Ear class) for a trip to Lake Farm County Park, where you will walk the paths through the woods and prairie, and learn tools, tips, and techniques for birding by ear.

Feel free to leave the binoculars at home, and come prepared to use your ears rather than your eyes! This event is hosted in partnership with the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired.

We will meet at the Observation Tower at Lake Farm County Park. The trails are wide, flat, and mowed grass.

Registration is free but is required and limited to 10 people. Register using the form below or by calling 608-255-2473.
