Water Critters & Bug Fun for Families

  • Lark Farm Observatory Tower Libby Rd Madison, WI United States (map)

Get your family outside and exploring the amazing world of BUGS! Join us for this family-oriented field trip to Lake Farm County Park, where leaders Carolyn and Mickenzee will show you and your kids the diversity of six (or more) legged creatures, where they live, what they eat, and how they contribute good to the world. This is particularly great for elementary and middle school aged kids, but all are welcome.

Station 1 will feature water critter exploration, and kids will be able to borrow our magnifying glasses, dip nets, and microscopes for hands-on fun.

Station 2 will include a bug hunt, and kids can use our insect nets, critter keepers, and magnifying glasses to get up close and personal. Don’t worry, none of the bugs or people are harmed in this process.

We will have nature journaling supplies at both stations to record your observations and memories.
