Wisconsin Garden Expo talk: Preventing Bird-Window Collisions at Your Home

  • Alliant Energy Center 1919 Alliant Energy Center Way Madison, WI, 53713 United States (map)

PBS Wisconsin’s annual Garden & Landscape Expo returns to Madison this February! The three day event celebrates the latest trends in gardening, landscaping, local foods and ecological sustainability — with information and advice spread among lush green plants, colorful flowers and delicious bounties from home gardens and Wisconsin farms.

This year there are numerous bird-related presentations (listed below), including three by SoWBA’s Brenna Marsicek! Join us to learn more about how you can prevent birds from hitting your windows at home.

About the Talk:

Up to a billion birds die every year in the US after hitting windows, and almost half of those happen at homes. The good news is that the solutions are easy and affordable! This seminar will share some science behind why birds hit windows, and provide recommendations on ways to address problem windows at home to make them more bird-safe.
